call out to photographers: portraits!

ok, my friends. im getting desperate. i seriously need some inspiration for my portraits. i mean, i keep doing the same things over and over (which is fine, if it’s good things, but its not).

would all three of you out there please post a comment with a link to people who inspire you in terms of portraiture? i want to print some small pictures of inspirational material, tape it to the pages of a notebook and bring it along in my bag. call it an emergency manual. or whatever.

here’s a few people i already look to for ideas: alec soth, avedon, platon, leibovitz.

    Hello dear friend!

    I love the idea of the emergencymanual, I think I will do the same thing myself! Just another thing to add to the list of all the stuff to fix during the holidays, to make sure 2009 becomes THE GREATEST PHOTOYEAR!

    A lot of beautiful portraits…..quite conseptual some some of it, so might not always work out in a newspapersetting, but I love his use of color, and his way with people…

    And by the way, even if you feel uninspired right now, you really inspire me. I miss you!

    yeah, i thought it would be nice to have something like that in your bag for whenever you need inspiration urgently… which happens quite often. i rarely am given time to prepare it seems, and im finding it increasingly hard to come up with new ideas…
