at the moment app. 70 iraqi asylum seekers have taken refuge in a danish church. having been denied asylum, they are trying to avoid being send out of the country and back to iraq.

a protest was organized to put pressure on the danish politicians to give asylum to these refugees, some of which has been in the country for up to eight years. the event was organized by a group called “grandparents for asylum”.

that’s probably the coolest name of an organization i’ve ever heard.
